Blogging For Fun Or Blogging For Money?
3 Things You Should Know

Blogging can be fun. Take a few interesting thoughts, open up the editor in Wordpress, press the publish button, and you have a blog post! Easy! Fun! Blogging for money should be just as easy!

Most beginners to blogging think that because creating blog posts is easy, that somehow you should be able to make money with your blog without any real effort.

Just slap some ads on your blog, kick back and watch the money roll in...right?

To be honest, no. I wish it was that easy. You can make money from blogging if you are determined and work hard, but most bloggers don't make but a few bucks a month at best because most bloggers treat blogging like a hobby. Blogging for money is different than blogging for fun.

Many people who are starting in internet marketing think that in order to make a lot of money on the internet through blogging, all they need to do is to set up a blog, add content to it on a regular basis and start to get money! But you will need to do more than this if you want to make money with your blog.

Just because creating a blog is easy, doesn't mean that making money from the blog will be easy.

If you really want to make money with your blog, here are 3 things that you will need to follow to successfully make money with your blog:

1. Advertisements on Your Blog. Adding advertisements such as Google Adsense can be one of the easiest ways to make money with your blog. To make money with Google Adsense, you will first have to get a Google Adsense account. Once you are approved, you grab a supplied code, put the code on your website, and Google will display adverts that relate to your blog topic. If your blog visitors visit any of these adverts, and click on any of the links, you can earn some money. It really isn't much. Usually a few cents per click.

A much bigger payday is selling advertising space on your blog. For example, if you have a blog about travel, you can sell space on your blog to a company willing to place a banner. You can charge upwards of many hundreds of dollars per month for advertising on a highly visible and popular blog.

2. Sell Your Own Products or Services - You can make money by creating your own products for sell or offer services. This monetization method is usually overlooked by beginners. You can sell your own products or services on your blog. If you are a brick and mortar business, promote and sell your hard goods or services from your business.

3. Promote Affiliate Products - If you don't have a product to sell, sell someone else's product as a affiliate. Just select affiliate products that apply to your niche and add your affiliate links on your blog. By selling affiliate products on your blog, you can earn commissions of about 30%-70% on each product you sell on your website. To start out, use Clickbank to promote digital products, and use Commission Junction to promote physical goods.

Although blogging is quite easy, if you want to really make money from a blog, you will need to follow the tips outlined above.

Apply yourself and focus your efforts. And treat your blog and your blogging efforts like a business. Blogging for money is work, but the money is worth it.

But if you just "try" and treat this like a hobby, you will get paid hobby money. Treat blogging for money like a business, and although there are no guarantees, you just might be surprised at the results.
